Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Equipment Manager and/or Golf Course Superintendents, the Assistant Mechanic helps with the repair and maintenance of all gasoline, diesel, and electric-powered golf course equipment and vehicles. The Assistant Mechanic also assists in maintaining a clean service area and maintenance building, contributes to a preventative maintenance program, and places safety procedures as a top priority. This seasonal role is available from approximately April to November.
Position Responsibilities:
- Support the Equipment Manager and Assistant Equipment Manager with the maintenance and repair of all golf course maintenance equipment.
- Assist the Equipment Manager and Assistant Equipment Manager in ensuring all golf course mowers are achieving desired quality of cut, including reel and rotary mowers.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all golf course maintenance equipment as directed.
- Assist with basic golf course maintenance tasks as needed.

Requirements
- Basic knowledge of the general operation and repair of gasoline, diesel, and electric-powered equipment.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs., work outdoors in various conditions, and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
