POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides direction among functional Departments (Manufacturing/Operations, Engineering, Safety, Materials and Quality).
- Maintains and improves employee morale by facilitating team building and communication within the department.
- Communicates with Corporate Resources.
- Directs, coordinates, and assigns work activities to all employees within a shift.
- Manages employee activities via UKG Pro system.
- Monitors, reviews, and evaluates work product, methods, and procedures.
- Strong understanding of Lean Principles and drives Continuous Improvement.
- Establishes and maintains effective KPI's to monitor performance.
- Produces productivity reports and turns data into business cases to make fact-based decisions.
- Communicates with Customers to handle any escalated partner service issues or complaints.
- Promotes and maintains a safe working environment.
- Enforces company policies/procedures and corresponding work instructions.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Materials Management and/or Engineering is Required.
- 5+ years of operations leadership experience within an Automotive, Third-Party Logistics, or Heavy Industrial/Manufacturing environment is required.
- Must have proficiency in Third Party VAA Services including Part Sequencing, JIT, Value-Added, Sub-Assembly, Kitting, Repack, Deconsolidation, and Bulk and Small Lot Metering.
- Must have strong Project Management experience.
- Must have a strong Safety background as well as knowledge of Labor Relations and Worker’s Compensation. Ability to work in conjunction with HR to develop, manage and deploy Safety Teams.
- Must have strong leadership skills managing salaried and hourly employees.
- Must have Strong experience within Continuous Improvement and Lean Principles using problem solving methodologies including 5-why, root cause analysis, time studies, and value stream mapping.
- Demonstrated experience performing Layered Audits.
- Experience managing hourly and salaried employees in alignment with the company established QMS.
- Ability to take initiative, identifying potential problems and solutions.
- Ability to review forecast and create plans and goals.
Schedule/ Shift: 1st Shift / with the ability to support 2nd and/or 3rd Shifts as needed
