Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and execute intricate menus that reflect the elegance and sophistication of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express dining experience.
• Support the Sous Chef and Executive Sous Chef with proactive task management, demonstrating efficiency and a positive, collaborative approach.
• Champion and meticulously enforce safety, health, and hygiene protocols within the kitchen, ensuring a secure and sanitary environment for all.
• Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization of your workstation, kitchen, and storage areas, adhering to the highest standards of hygiene.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven culinary mastery with a minimum of 5 years in reputable fine dining establishments, including at least 3 years in a Chef de Partie (or similar) role.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt swiftly to the unique challenges and demanding conditions of a luxury train environment, while maintaining exceptional performance.
• Uncompromising attention to detail in all aspects of food quality, presentation, and adherence to stringent hygiene and safety regulations.
• Unwavering commitment to delivering unparalleled culinary experiences that enhance the prestigious reputation of the Belmond brand.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout Europe.
• European or Swiss passport is essential.
• Fluency in English is required; a working knowledge of Italian and French is highly desirable.
