Inside Project Mgr -EPG presso Thompson Tractor

The Inside Project Manager position is focused on the successful completion of all submittals for EPG Projects. The Inside Project Manager is responsible for tracking the submittal from Order Entry to Approval Status. As needed the Inside Project Manager will issue Hold for Approval Purchase Order to 3rd Party Vendors; Coordinate with 3rd Party Vendors on Submittal Delivery; coordinate with Project Engineers on internal submittal delivery. Work with Thompson Project Engineers and 3rd Party Vendors on any Submittal Comments that are required to gain Submittal Approval. Develop a tracking tool to monitor Submittal Lead Times, Submittal Duration, and Submittal Comments to be reviewed with the Project Delivery Team to determine any process improvements needed to improve speed and quality.

This position will require working with cross-functional multi-project team resources to ensureexpectations are delivered according to defined scope, timeline, and cost parameters. This role will be focused 90% on project execution, and 10% on departmental process improvements that drive cost out opportunities and other duties as assigned.The Inside Project Manager supports the Project Delivery Team in planning, scheduling, and controlling all submittal activities toward these objectives by applying managerial, theoretical, and technical skills, while building positive professional relationships with customers and peers.

Essential Responsibilities & Expectations

• Manage Submittals for all EPG projects

• Issue Purchase Orders as Needed for 3rd Party Submittals

• Assist Engineers as needed on projects for the timely completion of the submittal

• Escalate as needed to meet customer expectations

• Ensure proper planning of project submittals to reduce turnaround time with the engineering

community to gain approval.

• Identify cost out opportunities and champion process changes to improve organization

performance

• Effectively handle customer objections and concerns

• Monitor customer satisfaction and employee morale and take steps to improve both when

necessary.

• Effectively communicate with company personnel

• Assist Director of Project Delivery as needed
