SUMMARY
This position is responsible for operating and performing preventative maintenance on a bridge saw. Operators are responsible for quality of pieces completed. Requires cutting and re-sawing of stone materials. The job involves general housekeeping as well as shop organization and cleanliness
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manually setting up and cutting various stone pieces to dimensions provided by engineers
- Re-sawing 3cm material to various thicknesses
- Preventative maintenance and operation of machine
- Meeting production schedule goals
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma
- Experience with cutting and polishing tools
- Detail oriented
- Able to work on a team or individually
- Ability to read measuring tools including calipers and tape measures
- Good math skills
PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-4 years of experience in a production machinery environment
- Forklift experience
MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to work while standing for 8 to 12 hour shifts
- Ability to move and carry substantial parts on varied surfaces
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to safely operate overhead crane
- Ability to follow all safety requirements
- Ability to use measuring tools
