ROLE DESCRIPTION

ByHeart is looking for a Brand and Growth Copywriter to craft copy across all ByHeart touch points - with a focus on emails, paid ads, social and retail. This role is perfect for the writer who is both a left and right brain thinker, who brings warmth and humor, and isn’t afraid to dig into the science of infant nutrition.  

You’ll love this role if you are a natural storyteller with a proven ability to craft everything from campaign messaging to thumb-stopping headlines. You thrive in collaborative environments but are just as confident leading and shaping copy across various verticals. You’re constantly seeking out inspiration, immersing yourself in industry trends and exploring cultural conversations that shape the world. You’re looking to push the envelope and have fun with your writing, but always prioritize copy that is clear and impactful to the consumer. This position will report into our Copy Director.

Reports To:      Director, Copy & Demand Generation

Location:         New York, NY

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write high-impact copy for digital ads, landing pages, email campaigns, social media, and additional channels.
  • Partner with designers to deliver cohesive and engaging storytelling through copy and imagery.
  • Employ and evolve the brand’s tone of voice, ensuring consistency across all communications.
  • Translate brand and growth objectives into clear, effective messaging strategies.
  • Contribute bold, culturally relevant creative ideas that expand the brand’s reach and relevance.
  • Leverage creative testing, audience insights, and performance data to refine and optimize messaging.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years copywriting experience, preferably in-house for a wellness-based CPG brand and/or advertising agency
  • Strong portfolio of past work required
  • Experience writing about wellness, health, nutrition, or food is a major plus!
  • Experience using creative testing, audience insights, and performance data to refine and optimize messaging
  • Ability to meet deadlines with discipline, and manage time effectively
  • A collaborative team player with a “no task too small” mindset
  • Strong organization and time management capabilities, with a meticulous attention to detail and minor obsession for grammar
  • Proven experience collaborating cross-functionally with Brand, Communications, Digital, Retail, Medical, and R&D teams to align on messaging and writing needs
  • Experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, or startup environment, with a demonstrated ability to adapt, pivot, and thrive amidst change.
  • Experience being creative in a regulated category is a bonus!
  • Passion for ByHeart’s mission and a deep interest in the parenting and nutrition space.

The minimum annual salary for this position is $75,000 and the maximum is $95,000. The salary range for performing this role outside of New York City will differ. Additionally, you will be eligible to participate in our company’s equity program, plus our robust medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other benefits.
