First Merchants Bank is seeking a Third Party Risk Support Specialist to join our team! This position will assist the Director, Corporate Contracts & Procurement in the administration and oversight of the Third Party Risk Management program as well as other procurement responsibilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Perform various administrative duties related to third party risk management. 
    • Assist vendor owners in the timely completion of third-party risk assessments and due diligence reviews.
    • Includes scheduling meetings, input responses, coordinating with subject matter experts, and coordinating QC reviews. 
    • Assist in third-party onboarding/offboarding. Includes scheduling meetings, input responses, coordination of notice mailing, etc. 
    • Provide training and assistance to vendor managers responsible for meeting requirements of the program.
    • Monitor and track third-party performance and risk indicators. 
    • Maintain documentation and evidence for risk assessments.
    • Reviewing contracts, service level agreements, and statements of work for date of importance and risk-related clauses. 
    • Collaborating with internal subject matter experts such as legal, information security, compliance etc., as needed for assessment completion.
    • Participate in the quality control review processes (vendor classification, data classification, performance reviews, and due diligence assessments).
    • Assist in onboarding, classification, ongoing maintenance, assessment activities, and other data updates.
    • Assist in the onboarding/offboarding of contracts and related activities.
    • Handle multiple projects in a fast-paced team environment.
    • Prepare periodic reports. 
    • Escalate concerns to the Procurement Director.
  • Assist in preparing for third party risk management audits and exams.

To be successful in this position, we require the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) 
  • A minimum of two (2) years of related office administration experience

The following would be a plus: 

  • More than two years of experience in third party risk management
  • CTPRP (Certified Third Party Risk Professional)
  • CISA, CISSP, CRISC, or similar
