Facilities Cleaning Specialist presso Granite VNA, Inc.

Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, the Facilities Cleaning Specialist position is responsible for the general upkeep and cleanliness of Granite VNA building inside and outside at our Wolfeboro location.  

Essential Functions

• Performs general cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, vacuuming rugs, washing walls and glass, and dusting.
• Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Services, cleans and supplies restrooms.
• Gathers, empties and removes trash.
• Follows the established cleaning task schedule.
• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Accurately follows directions and use cleaning products as intended.
• Cleans glass and mirrors.
• Dusts furniture, walls, machines, or equipment.
• Replace supplies as needed.
• Requisitions supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Demonstrates effective communication with other employees.
• Infection Control-COVID- sanitizes designated areas throughout the day per required frequency which includes wipe down of high touch areas every two hours.
• Keeps any patient information ascertained while cleaning confidential.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work independently.
• Provides vacation coverage to other buildings.
• Reports on significant building issues to supervisor.
• Safely operate a personal vehicle while traveling throughout Granite VNA service area to provide patient visits and/or attend meetings. 

Other Job Functions

• Demonstrates flexibility in the role by accepting other duties as assigned for which qualified. Including possibly filling in our Concord locations when needed.
• Performs job duties in a safe manner to prevent injury to yourself and others.

Expected Hours of Work

Per Diem Position. Hours of work based on agency and department needs.

Requirements

1. High School Diploma or GED required
2. Previous custodial and light maintenance experience
3. Basic knowledge of repair techniques
4. Ability to independently travel between locations during workday. 
5. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and an acceptable driving record.
