Position Overview
We’re looking for a hands-on, tech-savvy individual with strong IT and programming skills and at least five years of experience in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across both office and plant floor settings, supporting systems that keep operations running smoothly. This role includes developing custom applications, supporting PLC/HMI systems, configuring servers and industrial PCs, and working with SQL databases. Some local travel is required.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to IT systems, automation, or process improvement.
- Strong SQL skills required – ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot queries and manage data-driven applications.
- Experience with general-purpose programming languages such as Python, C#, or C++.
- Comfortable with PC/server setup and configuration, networking basics, and troubleshooting industrial/commercial systems.
- Exposure to PLC and HMI systems – ability to troubleshoot or assist with automation support (not required to program from scratch).
- Experience creating or supporting data reporting tools, dashboards, or historian systems.
- Able to create or contribute to technical documentation, including control narratives, testing plans, or system configurations.
- Self-starter who can operate independently and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Some local travel required for on-site support and commissioning.
