Our team’s mission is to provide first-level support for all fulfilment systems (including WMS, WCS) at our automated production site in Barleben, with occasional support at our UK facility in Derby. As part of a new warehouse software implementation team, you will work cross-functionally with key stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations. You will serve as the first point of contact for system-related inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide real-time support for our Warehouse Control System (WCS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement, recommend and implement change controls, and define local reporting requirements
  • Develop dashboards to enable system analysis and monitoring
  • Continuously evaluate software systems, driving improvements through enhancements or change requests
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal development teams to resolve critical system issues
  • Create and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training materials for WMS and WCS
  • Ensure comprehensive reporting structures are in place to support operational transparency

YOUR PROFILE

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in WMS/WCS-driven production or fulfilment environments as system superuser or software engineer 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
  • Solid understanding of supply chain processes and supporting technologies
  • Demonstrated interest in process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage tasks independently while consistently meeting deadlines

Preferred Technical Skills:

  • DevOps practices
  • GitHub
  • Problem-solving in operational environments
  • Python scripting
  • SQL database querying
  • WCS/WCS engineering experience
