Job Title: Product Quality Manager

General Overview


This position is for a product quality engineer.  As product quality engineer,  one will manage and monitor the product quality from end to end product life cycle. 

Candidate must have strong knowledge in quality management, technology background on switch, storage and server product testing.

Candidate must have strong knowlege in quality manageement from different functions of design, supplier management, manufacturing and customer issue resolutuon capablity.

Candidate must be very familar with product development cycle, lifecycle phase management process.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Supports generation of HPS quality plan and apply the product quality plan across the function teams along the entire life cycle
  • Supports product E2E LPR review with collect and review the product quality data on timely manner
  • Supports generation of performance metrics for HPS products and processes 
  • Engage with DSQ, CQE, SQE and global quality team to manage quality cases
  • Resolves customer issues of low difficulty using quality tools: Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions that are effective and timely

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of quality metrics, ISO standards and processes.
  • Understanding of HPS business models and product development framework and processes
  • Good knowledge of Quality Management tools including: 8D/RCCA (FMEA) and development of Quality Control Plans
  • Strong Project Management Skills
  • Ability to coordinate a wide variety of resources to meet production quality and quantity metrics.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external case stakeholders
  • Ability to use some or all of the following PC applications: Google Applications, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual capable of working with a minimum of supervision in a dynamic team environment.  Good interpersonal skills: be able to communicate effectively with members of other teams, departments and clients; as a high degree of liaison is needed.

  • Strong ability to shift from one task to another to address changing priorities.
  • Minimum of 8 years in similar position
  • Experience working with Asian based design and production teams is desired.
  • 3 year experience as a people driven functional manager is desired.
  • Prior participation in quality management is desired
  • Product testing related experience is desired

Typical Education

BS in Electrical Engineering or related major area required

Location: This is a remote position, with travel as necessary.
