Position Summary
The Employment Support Specialist Supervisor plays a key leadership role in mentoring, supervising, and training Employment Support Specialist staff. This position ensures that individuals supported by our Employment Resources department receive quality coaching and guidance to achieve success in their employment journeys.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and train Employment Support Specialist (job coaching) staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Provide guidance to staff on handling on-site job situations and ensure timely communication with management when needed.
- Serve as a backup job coach during staff shortages or high-demand periods.
- Develop and maintain staff schedules, ensuring consistency and proper coverage.
- Conduct performance evaluations, document staff strengths and opportunities, and provide ongoing feedback.
- Support staff with professional development and ensure compliance with required training and certifications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, families, and community partners to support successful job placements.
- Oversee accurate and timely documentation within the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
- Foster collaboration with other UCP Heartland departments and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Assist with Summer Work Programs and other employment initiatives as needed.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in a related field and at least 2 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in supported employment or vocational services.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency driving standards.
- Ability to pass all required background checks and maintain necessary certifications.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. using proper lifting and transfer techniques.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
