Job Summary
The Ready-Mix Driver will be responsible for safely driving a multi-axle truck for transporting freshly mixed concrete from the Batch Plant to the jobsite. The Ready-Mix Driver must make normal operating adjustments to equipment and material being hauled (i.e., slump on concrete). We are seeking a candidate with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and great customer service skills.

Responsibilities
- Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections
 - Deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites
 - Operate a multi-axle mixer truck safely, obeying all traffic laws
 - Clean and wash vehicle to include the removal of concrete buildup on all exterior parts of the mixer
 - Must be willing to work according to customer demands
 - Operate a radio to communicate with company personnel
 - Adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, state, and federal regulations
 - Responsible for reporting all incidents/injuries to management as soon as they occur
 - Attend safety meetings as scheduled by management
 - Fill out required paperwork completely and accurately
 
Education
High School Diploma/GED
Requirements/Qualifications
- Must have current and valid Commercial Class A or B driver’s license with airbrakes endorsement
 - Safe driving record (will need to provide 39-month MVR printout)
 - Must have a current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate
 - Ability to read a map and understand verbal and GPS driving route instructions
 - Must have familiarity with slumps
 - Good attendance and punctuality a must
 - Ability to work in extremes of hot and cold weather
 - Must have the physical ability to: climb, stoop, bend, squat, frequently lift extension chutes (up to 60 lbs.), stretch, drive/sit and shift gears
 - Adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, State, and Federal regulations
 - Must be able to work a flexible schedule with flexible hours, hours vary; overtime work, weekends and nights, may be required
 
Preferred:
- Experience in ready-mix or heavy construction industries
 - 2+ years of commercial driving experience
 
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. This position also requires FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
