Summary

The Project Electrical Engineer will design, develop, and integrate advanced electrical process control systems and electromechanical components for heating and curing systems and fluid and spray equipment technologies.  This position involves managing projects, driving innovation, and providing expert technical guidance.   

Essential Functions

  • Design, develop, and test new or improved systems by identifying the components required to perform the processes necessary to meet quality and production objectives.
  • Follow all necessary standards (i.e., NFPA, UL508A, and CE).
  • Develop and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs for control systems. 
  • Manage comprehensive project schedules, coordinating with project team members, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely delivery and integration.
  • Direct initial start-up activities at manufacturing facilities, and provide expert technical support to ensure successful system commissioning and integration.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical and logical systems
  • Provide troubleshooting support and technical assistance for internal and external customers.
  • Analyze and estimate feasibility, costs, time, and compatibility with hardware and other programs as required.
  • Provide written cost estimations to internal customers.
  • Travel frequently to customer sites and other company locations as required, including international destinations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. (U.S. Only)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Three (3) plus years of experience with product development or design experience in electrical and PLC controlled systems
  • Experience programming on a variety of platforms, such as Allen Bradley and Siemens for PLC’s and HMI’s
  • Proficiency in creating schematics, panel layouts, BOMs, and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with PLC solutions, drives and motors, and industrial I/O networks.
  • Must have electrical “hands-on” aptitude and be able to use hand tools and lab instruments 
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical interfaces 
  • Exor programming and troubleshooting a plus
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and written communication skills

Travel

  • Up to 30% of travel
