Founded in 1863 by Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV, ‘Iolani School is an Episcopal day and boarding school in Honolulu, Hawai'i enrolling approximately 2,300 students on its K-12, 25-acre urban campus.
‘Iolani School seeks a Temporary Upper School Chemistry Teacher for the Spring Semester of the 2025-26 school year. The Spring Semester spans from January 20, 2026 through June 4, 2026. The position requires ongoing collaboration with teaching teams at both the course and grade level.
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree or higher in Science or a related discipline, as well as at least 3-5 years of teaching experience in grades 9-12. A degree in Chemistry and/or experience teaching Chemistry is a plus. A demonstrated ability to create engaging hands-on lessons that encourage scientific thinking while differentiating instruction to meet diverse student needs. Candidates should be comfortable designing, executing and sharing curriculum as part of a teaching team and embrace the use of instructional technology.
