INTRODUCTION: This position reports to the IT Manager-Business Systems. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities. 

  

HELP DESK ADMINISTRATOR – Assisting in the maintenance and support of all end user computers, phones, and end user support needs. The position specifically resolves hardware and software issues by fielding telephone calls and email communication, diagnosing problems and performing troubleshooting activities to implement the correct solution. This person must be detail oriented, able to think through and solve problems, outline, and create a plan of action, document and make progress toward that plan and then finalize solutions with proper descriptive documentation. 


AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: 

Include, but are not limited to:

a) Provides technical assistance to system users.

b) Monitor ticketing system and answers inquiries.

c) Installs, maintains, modifies, repairs or requests service for computer hardware and software. Additional network equipment and phone system support may be needed with the assistance of IT Manager or other help desk associates

d) Support and maintain network infrastructure: wiring, switches, Wi-Fi in a correct and timely manner.

e) Assist with keeping systems up to date with software, firmware, and security patches.

f) Loads specified software packages pertinent to business operations.

g) Installs or assists service personnel in installation of hardware and peripheral components, such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drives, following design or installation best practices.

h) Implement as required, support and maintain Barcode scanning system, software and hardware in a correct, accurate and timely manner.

i) Assists in Move/Add/Change requests for users in the office, network, and in the phone system.

j) Assists with creation and maintenance of documentation for user education.

k) Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

a) A degree or course work in Information Technologies or related field.

b) Minimum of two years of experience in IT or other technical field.

c) Network Certification(s) a plus.

d) High level of attention to detail with high accuracy in work.

e) Excellent communication, verbal, written and organizational skills.

f) Ability to work independently and problem solve with minimal supervision.

g) Ability to work as part of a cohesive and highly effective team member.

h) Extensive experience with Microsoft technologies, and Office 365 services and applications.

i) Extensive working knowledge of computers and peripherals.

j) Proven ability to diagnose, find root cause implement corrections and complete projects timely with accurate solutions.

k) Solid experience in documenting standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and keeping all current a plus for consideration.

l) Successful at multi-tasking and has the ability to successfully handle multiple projects at various stages of completion.

m) Ability to gain knowledge of company products, company quality and safety procedures and the JOST International Basic Processes.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

a) This is role primarily works in an office setting; however, it will also require some occasional work in other locations including the plant and warehouses. While performing duties of this job, the employee will regularly; sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, twist and occasionally will be required to stoop, kneel, lift, crawl, climb. May lift or move objects of less than fifty pounds.
