Lonestar Electric Industrial Supply is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to oversee product inspections, testing, and supplier compliance. This role is responsible for verifying the correctness of products received from manufacturers, ensuring all items meet customer and company standards. The Quality Control Specialist will also support the return materials process, document nonconformance issues, and assist in grading suppliers to maintain a high level of product integrity.
Responsibilities:
• Test and verify the continuity of fuses and other electronic devices to ensure proper functionality.
• Inspect received products for accuracy in part number, voltage, amperage, harness connectors, dimensions, and other specifications.
• Document and track all nonconformance issues, including return material authorizations (RMA) and supplier performance.
• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve product quality issues and confirm corrective actions are implemented.
• Maintain detailed inspection records, test results, and return documentation.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying trends in supplier performance and recommending corrective actions.
• Ensure that all inspected products meet internal standards and customer requirements prior to release.
• Communicate quality issues to procurement, operations, and sales teams as needed.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required; technical certification in electronics or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in quality control, product testing, or electrical inspection.
• Familiarity with electrical components, fuses, harnesses, and continuity testing.
• Ability to read and interpret product datasheets, labels, and basic technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
• Proficiency with basic hand tools, electrical testing equipment, and measurement devices.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to move up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
• Regularly works in warehouse conditions which may not be climate-controlled and may include heat and humidity.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform manual inspections requiring fine motor skills and dexterity.
• Noise levels may vary depending on work environment.
