Key Responsibilities:

Job Duties

  • Support Lean Manufacturing and 5s initiatives to achieve a workplace that is clean, uncluttered, safe, and well organized to help reduce waste and optimize productivity
  • Follow documented and verbal directions, on-the-job training, written job instructions, and standard operating procedures
  • Safely meet established efficiency goals such as throughput and quality of work
  • Report delays, shortages, and other production issues through chain of command as needed
  • Accurately complete forms and documentation such as production travelers and process logs
  • Ability to operate several different processes
  • Ensure machines are clean and operating within standard operating parameters
  • Operate mechanical and/or computer-controlled production machinery safely and efficiently
  • Accurately monitor machine parameters to ensure quality and productivity
  • Conduct daily equipment checks and preventative maintenance as required
  • Maintain 97% of expected throughput
  • All other duties as assigned

Quality

  • Maintain less than 2% individual non-conforming parts / scrap rate
  • Maintain traceability of work product
  • Perform inspections using applicable tools and equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness, verify calibration, and proactively identify wear of inspection tooling
  • Ensure that all products meet quality standards and report potential non-conformances
  • Identify, mark, and segregate non-conforming material and product
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality

Safety

  • Consistently wear appropriate PPE, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, or respirators, as required by the specific job and work environment
  • Strictly adhere to all company-specific safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and established emergency response plans
  • Identify potential hazards, report unsafe practices or conditions, and suggest safer alternatives

This position requires use of information and data which is subject to US Export Regulations, including but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), 22 C.F.R. 120 et seq., and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), 15 C.F.R. 730 et seq. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S Government.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder
  • Must pass initial and subsequent background checks
  • Must pass preemployment and subsequent drug and alcohol screenings 
  • Must comply with internal non-disclosure agreement requirements  
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Maintain Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives “Employee Possessor” eligibility       
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, and decimals) 
  • Proficiency in using Windows operating systems, navigating Microsoft SharePoint, and using quality management software, including data entry
  • Experience/knowledge of calipers and/or micrometers


Physical Requirements

  • RARE (less than 10%): crawling, climbing.
  • OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): standing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, body-twisting, reaching, range-of-motion, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, climbing stairs, balancing, , lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • FREQUENT (up to 66%): walking, sitting, climbing on/off truck, reading, lifting up to 10 lbs, gripping, sense of touch, manual dexterity
  • CONTINUOUS (up to 100%): speaking clearly, seeing distant, seeing, hearing-speech-range, depth-perception, color vision.
  • VISION: Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Near vision includes clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less to work with small objects or read small/fine print, including use of computers.

The hours for this position are Monday - Thursday, 5 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
