Position Summary

The Press Support role assists the Press Operator in setting up, operating, and maintaining flexographic printing presses to ensure high-quality label production that meets customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the press operator by preparing the press for each production run and verifying job specifications.
   
• Read and understand customer job jackets.
   
• Gather and stage materials and equipment needed for setup.
   
• Perform make-ready activities, including removing/loading print cylinders, materials, lamination, dies, and inks.
   
• Help with auxiliary press equipment setup.
   
• Empty trash and rag containers regularly.
   
• Retrieve label stock from inventory and remove finished rolls as needed.
   

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
   
• One (1) year of related manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and training.
   
• Prior experience in a printing environment is preferred.
   
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks that require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, or climbing throughout the shift.
   
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing environment and requires adherence to all safety and PPE standards. Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, reaching, stooping, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
