About the Opportunity:
City Cruises Canada is seeking a talented Marketing Manager with the ability to drive growth and brand visibility to join our dynamic team. As part of our team, The Manger be entrusted with executing our marketing initiatives. The role will involve the development and implementation of both strategic and tactical marketing plans. This role is a blend of creativity, coordination skills, and leadership that offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization. The position of Marketing Manager reports to the Vice President, Sales & Marketing.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Marketing Magic: Oversees the development of creative assets, including digital content, email marketing campaigns, advertising materials, and promotional collateral that make our sales team shine
- Planning to Grow: Plans, develops, and executes multiple marketing initiatives to drive sales and support revenue goals
- Be Social: Manages and grow our social media presence by creating and curating relevant content that reflects the brand's voice and values
- Vendor Management: Coordinates initiatives with media partners, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of creative assets
- Website Management: Ensures company website is up to date, and our online content shines bright in search results, driving more eyes and traffic to the site
- Client Interaction: You’ll be the project manager, meeting with internal stakeholders, listening to their wants, asking the right questions, and capturing their marketing needs
- Promoting Partnerships: Coordinates event sponsorships, collaborate with influencers, and brand ambassadors, and manage donation requests as we proudly support local nonprofits
- Tracking for Success: Tracks campaign budget and production spending to ensure projects are on time and on budget
- Completes any other duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Degree/diploma in Communications, Business, or related field
- Two (2) years tourism/hospitality experience preferred
- Demonstrable experience in marketing, together with the potential and attitude required to learn
- Experience working with media partners/agencies
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools
- A sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication
- Strong project management skills to drive marketing initiatives from start to finish
- Proficient in digital marketing techniques, including social media, SEO/SEM, and email marketing
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Personable and able to work in a team environment
- Can execute independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Creative and innovative thinking
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
