GET TO KNOW THE ROLE
The EVS II is responsible for keeping Casino buildings in clean and orderly condition, by performing heavy cleaning using the proper safe handling of equipment and chemicals to complete tasks as assigned. Maintain health & safety standards and safety regulations, as required. This job has no management authority.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Exemplifies MCR’s values and sets a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of Casino following safety and health standards.
- Daily upkeep of Casino parking areas, exterior of buildings and grounds.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
- Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors as necessary.
- Daily upkeep and sanitation of all employee and guest restrooms.
- Steam clean grout in restrooms per monthly schedule.
- Dust high level areas using tools such as ladders and scissor lifts.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Scrub and sanitize outside trash compactors, including surrounding areas.
- Maintain and repair cleaning equipment as necessary, notifying Supervisor concerning need for major repairs.
- Vacuum and shampoo carpets.
- Scrub elevator walls and floors.
- Assist other departments as needed with heavy lifting and transport of items or supplies.
- Utilize portable radio or cell phone to stay in constant contact with the Department while on shift.
- Creates, maintains, and facilitates a positive and safe work environment; promotes positive team member relations and reports issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- A valid WA State Driver’s License, with clean driving record.
- One (1) year experience with floor maintenance equipment and various cleaning chemicals required.
HOW YOU’LL BE SUCCESSFUL
- Knowledge of MSDS and the chemicals used in the department and Hazard Waste Management
- Knowledge of OSHA or safety regulations, as required.
- Ability to pass a basic skills test.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously within a high-pressure, high-volume, stressful work environment under pressure.
- Ability to use heavy equipment such as fork and scissor lifts.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills. Read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment such as scrubbers, steam cleaners, vacuum cleaners, pressure washers, floor extractors and heavy-duty sweepers and scrubbers.
- Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of error or other problems or defects.
- Ability to utilize health & safety standards and apply safety regulations, as required.
