Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing exemplary service and various back-office processing of electronic banking functions that include but are not limited to: research requests, bill pay, ACH transactions including origination, returns and adjustments, remote deposit capture, merchant services, positive pay, gift cards, online and mobile banking support and maintenance, and anomaly detection. The E-Banking Specialist is also responsible for onboarding new Commercial/Business/Treasury Management customers, providing training and support to all current and new customers, and performing annual customer audits and risk assessments.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for providing ongoing technical support for treasury management products and services which can be complex in nature. This includes trouble shooting file mapping and advising of necessary changes.
  2. Demonstrate superior communication skills including clear verbal communication over the phone and concise and accurate written communication to business customers through email, as appropriate.
  3. Answer incoming calls from treasury management customers and internal staff while delivering exceptional service that exceeds the caller’s expectations.
  4. Handle calls with professionalism.
  5. Demonstrate a sense of ownership with a goal of one call resolution achieving established service standards.
  6. Recommend and escalate trends observed relative to treasury management products and services to the Online Banking Operations Manager for product improvements based on observations of product use and client feedback.
  7. Provide ongoing status of activity, identifying error impact, timeliness, and quality concerns. Resolve service issues relative to new service setup requests within the established service level timeframes.
  8. On-board commercial clients into the online banking portal and core, ensuring appropriate services are activated.
  9. Provide training and support to existing and new commercial customers as it pertains to treasury management services.
  10. Communicate set-up status to Treasury Management Sales, Account Officer, and Customers as appropriate.
  11. Responsible for assisting merchant service customers with tier one support. Review customer applications for completeness and accuracy. Investigate research inquiries and risk holds.
  12. Responsible for maintaining inventory, reconciliation, and distribution of gift cards.
  13. Review and monitor for anomaly transactions or trends within the online banking platform.
  14. Maintain a thorough knowledge of First Guaranty Bank treasury products, policies, and procedures. Complete appropriate regulation training pertaining to Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
  15. Perform the daily ACH warehouse file import and balancing.
  16. Responsible for the completion of annual ACH and RDC customer audits and risk assessments. Present to the DLC as needed.
  17. Demonstrate a high level of knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC related responsibilities in the performance of daily operations to ensure adherence to bank polices and compliance with all regulatory responsibilities
  18. Adhere to BSA/AML policy and all other bank policies.
  19. Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by supervisor.

 

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

  • Treasury Management product knowledge.
  • Experience with Treasury Management documentation and regulatory requirements.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in Treasury Management and/or customer service in related banking operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bank operations experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • AAP, CTP, or APRP credentials preferred.
