About the Role:
The Flatwork/DryFold position at our Atlanta Plant is a critical role focused on the efficient processing and handling of flat linens and dry folded items to ensure high-quality output for our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating specialized machinery that folds, stacks, and prepares linens for shipment, maintaining strict adherence to quality and safety standards. This role requires attention to detail to identify and address any defects or inconsistencies in the linens, ensuring that all products meet company specifications. Collaboration with team members and supervisors is essential to maintain smooth workflow and meet production targets. Ultimately, this position contributes directly to customer satisfaction by delivering neatly folded, clean, and well-presented linens on schedule.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to operate and troubleshoot folding machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or laundry processing environment.
- Familiarity with industrial flatwork and folding equipment.
- Basic computer skills for logging production data.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends if required.
Responsibilities:
- Operate flatwork and dry fold machinery to process linens according to production schedules.
- Inspect linens for quality, removing any items that do not meet company standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to comply with safety and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or production issues to supervisors promptly.
Skills:
The required skills such as mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are essential for operating folding machinery accurately and ensuring the quality of processed linens. Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks enable the candidate to maintain productivity throughout their shift.
