We are passionate about music, innovation, and excellence—and we’re looking for team members who share that passion.  Based in our Newcastle, UK office, the European Finance Associate will play a key supporting role in general accounting functions, including preparation of journal entries, month-end close, compiling special accounting reports, and balancing general and subsidiary ledgers.

Responsibilities:
  • Process customer payments (cheques, credit cards, wire transfers) and apply to accounts accurately.
  • Match vendor invoices with internal documentation and secure departmental approvals.
  • Post invoices to the accounts payable system with correct general ledger coding.
  • Reconcile accounts payable with the general ledger and ensure timely vendor payments.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Assist with daily accounting operations and maintain subsidiary ledgers.
  • Manage fixed asset records and generate compliance/depreciation reports.
  • Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and relevant financial regulations.
  • Maintain organised financial records and assist with audit preparation.
  • Contribute to special projects and provide ad hoc support to the Finance Manager.
Qualifications:
  • AAT Level 2 required; AAT Level 3 or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems; experience with AS400 and Infor/Mapics is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret large datasets accurately.

Salary: £27,000–£34,000 per annum, depending on experience.
