Doorman PT presso East Coast Valet

The ideal candidate will have Thursday - Saturday availability, and be able work flexible shifts. Our current need is Thursday - Saturday with varying shifts from 12pm - 9pm. Availability and detailed needs can be discussed at interview.

Pay: $20 an hour rate, Overtime and advancement opportunities are available.

ECV offers weekly payroll - get a check, direct deposit, or a pay card each week - in addition to tips earned daily.

For full-time employees medical and dental insurance (50/50 split after 90 days) and additional vacation time are also provided.

Minimum Requirements: – All Doormen are required to:

• Greeting residents and visitors warmly and professionally as they enter or leave the building.
• Open doors and assist with packages, luggage, strollers, or other items as needed.
• Monitor building entrance to ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises.
• Call elevators and provide directions or general assistance to guests or service personnel.
• Coordinate with concierge or front desk staff to manage visitor access and service requests.
• Assist in emergencies, such as guiding people during evacuations or calling emergency services.
• Report suspicious activity or maintenance issues to building management or security.
• Maintain a clean and tidy entrance area, including sweeping or picking up debris if needed.
• Occasionally assist with Valet, services during peak times or overflow situations, including helping to park vehicles when valet staff require support.

* License(s) required – The general Valet Attendant position requires a valid Class D license to operate a motor vehicle. This license must have been held for at least one year prior to applying.

* A driving record will be required at the time of application, and it must be approved for the applicant to be considered for a position. The Class D license must be kept in good standing for the duration of employment.

Physical Demands

* Standing at least 8 hours a day
* Running up to 50 times a day or more
* Entering and exiting customers' vehicles 75 or more times daily
* Lifting wheelchairs, strollers, walkers, baggage, gifts, etc. (in and out of customers' vehicles)
* Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers

Work environment – Outdoors for the duration of the shift. Inclement weather (hot, cold, precipitation, etc.) will significantly impact the employees' work environment. Shifts will not be canceled due to inclement weather and all employees will be required to attend their scheduled shifts, and maintain a high quality of work despite weather conditions.

Please note:
* All employees must undergo a criminal records check
* Must be available to work weekends and holidays when necessary
* Must have a neat appearance and a good attitude
* All employees are hired on a 30-day trial period. If during that time the employee does not perform their duties to the satisfaction of management, they can be terminated without cause
* All employees will train for four shifts. During this time they will not receive tips but will receive a higher pay rate as compensation
