Description
The Detailer is responsible to efficiently and thoroughly clean all company owned vehicles.
* MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER LICENSE
General responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Moving vehicles to and from parking areas and wash bays
- Measuring and mixing water and cleanser solutions according to recommended proportions
- Washing exterior of vehicles using water, cleansers, brushes, sponges, etc.
- Removing excess moisture with chamois or other absorbent cloth
- Polishing trim using polish, wax or other compounds
- Waxing or polishing painted surfaces with appropriate compounds;
- Cleaning interior of vehicle including rest rooms, windows, trim, instrument panels, carpets, etc. using broom, cloth, mop, vacuum cleaner, whisk broom and appropriate cleansing materials;
- Removing dust, grease, asphalt, concrete, etc. from exterior of vehicle using steam-cleaning equipment, or appropriate solvents;
- Fumigating vehicles with gases or sprays as needed.
- May also deliver inter-office small equipment, parts, materials, supplies or other items between departments
- Also may be required to set up and tear down tables and chairs in offices and shops, perform minor maintenance and repair functions including hanging cabinets or signs, repairing minor damage to buildings, etc.
- Responsible for building/parking lot housekeeping (taking trash out, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning surfaces, and clearing restrooms).

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work different shifts, including weekends when needed
- Experience vehicle washer or detailer is preferred.
- Must have a valid state Driver’s License
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment, supplies, materials, machines and safe work practices
- Must be able to safely operate motor vehicle
- Must be able to use body members, hand tools and/or special devices to work or move objects or materials.
