About the role: Personal Assistant to the Head of Secondary



South Coast Baptist College is seeking a highly capable and trusted Personal Assistant to support the Head of Secondary and the broader leadership team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is more than an administrative role—it is a strategic partnership that plays a vital part in the daily rhythm of our Secondary School.


The PA will provide high-level support across curriculum, student pathways, communications, and event coordination, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the school. Working closely with senior leaders—including the Head of Secondary, Deputy Principals, Director of Pathways Counselling, and Careers Coordinator—the successful candidate will be a steady, reliable presence behind the scenes.


We’re looking for someone who brings initiative, loyalty, and calm professionalism, with the ability to manage competing priorities with empathy, discretion, and precision. This is a role for someone who is deeply committed to supporting leadership and fostering a vibrant school community through relational excellence and operational strength.

Selection Criteria:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in digital platforms (our current platforms include - Compass, SchoolZine, Microsoft Office, SIRS).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
  • Calm and empathetic approach to handling parent concerns and complaints.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff across all levels of the school.


Essential Criteria:

  • A personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Active participation in a Church or Christian community, exemplifying Christian beliefs, behavior, and practices.
  • Acceptance of the College’s Statement of Faith.
  • Ability to build cooperative and supportive relationships with the board, principal, staff, students, and parents.
  • A commitment to personal best practice.
  • Decision-making based on facts, ensuring impartiality and fairness.
  • Adherence to proper communication channels and best practices.
  • Commitment to acting in the best interest of the College and its ethos.
  • Compliance with all SCBC policies and procedures.
  • First Aid certificate.
  • Working With Children Card.
