Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll carry out carpentry works, repairs and maintenance across a wide range of buildings and facilities on Hamilton Island. Where you’ll make an impact
- Carry out carpentry repairs, maintenance, and construction work on resort buildings, guest facilities, and staff accommodation
- Perform renovations, refurbishments and fitting installations as required
- Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests to ensure guest comfort and safety
- Maintain accurate records of time, materials and tasks completed
- Ensure vehicles used are clean, safe and roadworthy
- Maintain and secure Hamilton Island Enterprises tools and equipment
- Attend team meetings and briefings to support strong communication across the maintenance team
- Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor or Maintenance Manager

You’re a trade qualified carpenter who thrives in a collaborative team environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. With strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, you can confidently handle everything from small repairs to major refurbishments.

To be successful, you’ll need
- Certificate III in Carpentry (Essential)
- White Construction Card (Essential)
- Current manual driver’s licence (Essential)
- Proven experience in building maintenance, repairs, or construction
- Strong understanding of Australian building codes and safety standards
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Additional licences or tickets (e.g. EWP, Working at Heights) highly regarded
