This is an exciting permanent full-time role that would suit an associate level solicitor looking to grow in their career in Insurance - right in the heart of Melbourne CBD!
This role will be handling matters within the General Insurance sector alongside senior lawyers. You will need to demonstrate technical and commercial expertise necessary to ensure cases are delivered as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Responsibilities:Assisting senior Fee Earners with the day-to-day conduct of a range of litigated and unlitigated files.
Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
Assisting with document review and analysis.
Performing and/or reviewing legal research and analysis.
Providing expert legal advice throughout the litigation process.
Appearing in court and instructing counsel.
Communicating with external stakeholders such as other parties, Insured clients, counsel and experts.
Assisting with business development opportunities.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
Following all the Firm’s policies and procedures.
Ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Admission to practice law in Australia.
Minimum of 2 years Post-Qualification Experience.
Experience in insurance litigation is highly regarded.
Desire to assist others and work collaboratively in a high performing team.
An interest in fee-earning and case management.
High level of competency with iManage (or similar document management system) and time recording software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products (including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel), along with the willingness to be trained further.
A willingness to adopt and utilise AI and new technologies.
A proactive attitude with the ability to learn quickly.
Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
