Seeking an Experienced Leader with Deep Mortgage Industry Expertise, Data Analytics, and Proven Management Capability
Position Summary
The Director of Data Visualization & Production Reporting is responsible for supporting the strategic direction, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance of U.S. Bank’s Consumer Banking & Treasury Operations through advanced business intelligence and insightful reporting. This role requires a hands-on leader with extensive experience in banking / the mortgage industry, a proven management track record, and advanced analytical skills. The ideal candidate will drive business results, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead high-performing teams through consistent change.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of data visualization and production reporting within the Consumer Banking & Treasury Operations, including all performing and default servicing operations.
- Develop and execute strategies to increase capacity, stability, and or the Bank’s production reporting environment.
- Support regulatory compliance and risk management practices, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and industry standards through data-driven control development.
- Visualize the operations performance and trends using Power BI, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Lead and develop a team with strong SQL skills to extract, manipulate, and interpret complex data sets for reporting and decision-making purposes.
- Mentor and develop management teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including internal clients, partners, and risk & compliance partners.
- Navigate the evolution of our database architecture from on-premises to cloud.
Basic Qualifications
- Management/supervisory experience
- 10 or more years of banking or other relevant experience
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- At least 10 years of management experience, with a demonstrable record of leading teams to achieve business objectives.
- Deep expertise in the mortgage industry, including comprehensive knowledge of performing and default servicing operations.
- Proficiency in Power BI, with experience in managing teams, developing dashboards and generating actionable business intelligence.
- Advanced SQL skills, capable of leading a team with heavy, complex usage of SSIS and SSMS.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) or equivalent.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to industry changes and regulatory updates.
- Proven ability to communicate directly with senior executives of a financial services enterprise.
Location Expectations
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $149,515.00 - $175,900.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
