What You’ll Do

As the Automation Lead, you’ll be responsible for driving automation excellence across NEC’s technology ecosystem. Your role will include:

• Leading the automation strategy and governance across projects.
• Managing a team of developers to build scalable, cloud-based automation solutions.
• Designing and implementing reusable automation frameworks using open-source tools.
• Collaborating with developers to embed automation capabilities into workflows.
• Identifying and assessing automation opportunities with stakeholders.
• Ensuring high levels of technical quality and performance in all delivered solutions.
• Maintaining automation libraries, tools, and interfaces.
• Defining architectural specs and executing testing for key system interfaces.
• Reporting on automation progress and strategy to senior leadership.
• Mentoring team members and supporting staff development.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone with a strong technical background and leadership experience:

• 5+ years in Solution/Enterprise Architecture or similar consulting delivery roles.
• Proven hands-on experience in DevOps and automation technologies.
• Background in automating REST APIs and working with modern automation platforms.
• Understanding of enterprise-level IT processes (monitoring, backups, service management).
• Experience managing complex or large-scale automation projects.
• Proficiency with automation testing, integration, performance, and agile SDLC practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage distributed teams and open-source communities.
• A quick learner who can adapt to new technologies and lead teams through change.
• Industry experience across multiple verticals (a plus).
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
