Dining Services Supervisor

What We Are Looking For:
- Raybrook Manor at Holland Home is seeking a full-time Dietary Services Manager to join their team of professionals.
- This position will need the ability to work a rotating schedule of 6 am - 2:30 pm, 9 am-5:30 pm, and 11 am -7:30 pm onsite at our beautifully renovated facility in the South East part of Grand Rapids!
- The Supervisor position requires knowledge for directing our Dietary Staff (Dietary Aides, Cooks, etc.) to ensure the kitchen is running smoothly for our wonderful residents and staff.
- Works with a team of Dietary Supervisor and under the Dining Services Manager.
- This individual should have excellent people skills and the ability to work seamlessly with other Dietary Supervisors in a kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing safe and timely meal preparation, including the provision of meals and/or supplements in accordance with residents’ needs, preferences, and care plan.
- Monitoring regular and therapeutic diets, including texture of foods and liquids to meet the specialized needs of residents.
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
- Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Ensure proper sanitation and safety practices of staff.
- Ensure safe receiving, storage, preparation, and service of food. Protect food in all phases of preparation, holding, service, cooking, and transportation.
- Participating in QAPI activities when food and nutrition services are involved.
- Work a full-time schedule: most weeks Monday – Friday days. Some weekends, when needed. No late nights!
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must maintain ServSafe© certification and renewal requirements as needed.
- Certification as a dietary manager or equivalent.
- Must also meet State requirements for food service managers or dietary managers.
- Has knowledge of special diets and all applicable local, state and federal regulations.
- One years of experience in foodservice management and 3 years prior healthcare foodservice experience preferred.
- Experience working with the geriatric and elderly population is preferred.
