The Production Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the end-to-end import production process. This position is responsible for leading purchase order placement, tracking and maintaining accurate data across AS400 and Smartsheet systems, and ensuring timely delivery of products. The Production Coordinator will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and overseas vendors to manage production timelines, verify factory costs, and align with company margin objectives. Additional responsibilities include attending cross-functional meetings, supporting customer line planning through product knowledge, assisting with tech pack updates, and contributing to sample room organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while fostering a collaborative team environment.

This role is onsite, day shift, M-F in our Glendale, CA Earthwise office. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead production order placement for identified areas of responsibility. Issue, track, and coordinate purchase orders via AS400, Smartsheet spreadsheets, and WIP reports to execute on time deliveries.
  • Maintain purchase order data in AS400, such as costs, delivery dates, and quantities for accuracy and consistency with Smartsheet.
  • Review and update order log daily to track pending purchase orders to be issued.
  • Utilize costing tools to verify factory costs, provide cross-functional teams with accurate market costs, and support alignment with company margin targets. 
  • Daily communication with overseas vendors and internal cross-functional teams throughout the production process.
  • Attend cross-functional meetings and present delivery status of orders placed. Report delivery issues to the Production Manager and present options for resolution.
  • Support customer line planning by demonstrating product knowledge for customer product opportunities.
  • Support Pre-Production Manager with tech pack updates and sample room organization.
  • Additional duties as assigned to support Product Team deadlines, projects, and company goals.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required. 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Sales, Product lifecycle focused education/role (such as Production, Buying, Sales, Inventory management, Customer service) or Business. 
  • 1-5 years of import production experience required; fashion industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience with PLM/ERP system required; experience in AS400 is a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel; experience in Smartsheet’s, Microsoft Lists and SharePoint is a plus.
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently and be a proactive self-starter, with a collaborative one-team mentality.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills.

Earthwise (Glendale, CA) hourly range: $27-33/ hour based on experience, education, and geographic location.
