Airport Customer Relations Coordinator - Colorado Springs Airport
In this position, you will coordinate and manage customer service programs and hospitality initiatives at the Colorado Springs Airport. You’ll oversee passenger experience programs, supervise customer service staff and volunteers, and support public relations efforts. This is a dynamic role ideal for someone with a passion for hospitality, customer service, event planning, and community engagement.
The Airport Customer Relations Coordinator is responsible for enhancing the overall customer experience by leading customer service initiatives, volunteer engagement, public-facing programs, and special events. This role ensures that travelers, visitors, and community partners receive exceptional service and a welcoming experience while representing the City of Colorado Springs Airport.

Job Type: Full-time; Exempt
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM; Schedule may vary due to event and/or airport operational needs
Hourly Salary: $26.19 - $31.44
As an Airport Customer Relations Coordinator, you will:
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of customer service initiatives, including:
- Digital welcome kiosks
- Volunteer programs
- AskFlyCOS email responses
- Website updates and customer-facing information
- ADA programs
- Supervise and support volunteer ambassadors
- Promotional items
- Oversee public-facing programs such as:
- Airport music program
- Parking program
- Volunteer and educational programs
- Sunflower Program for Hidden Disabilities
- Table at events
- School Educational Tours
- Plan and execute airport tours, special events, and airline inaugural flights, including passenger engagements, receptions, meetings, and seasonal/holiday celebrations.
- Develop and implement recognition events for volunteers and ambassadors.
- Support airport public relations and communications initiatives.
- Assist the social media team with content creation from events and passenger engagement activities.
- Collaborate with the airport communications team to ensure the website remains current and accurate for customer needs.
- Other duties and tasks assigned by the manager.

- Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
- Creativity and initiative in designing and implementing engaging passenger experiences.
Position Duties
- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade (high school diploma or GED).
- Three (3) years of full-time experience in communications, event planning, customer service, or public engagement.

Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in a customer-facing role within hospitality, tourism, or airport services.
- Experience in event planning or hospitality management.
- Experience managing a membership-based program or lounge services.
