We are looking for an Entry-level Scientist or Geologist to join our Environmental Services team in northeast Florida. This position will include both field and office work, with approximately 60% fieldwork and travel expected. Field work will include conducting site visits for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), soil and groundwater sampling, and contractor oversight. Office work will include data analysis, site assessment report writing, and Phase I ESA report writing.

How you can make an impact:- Performing routine field activities including sample collection (soil, groundwater), drilling oversight, well development, soil logging, and site inspections.
- Preparing written documents (field notes and forms, permits, work plans, health & safety plans, etc.) in a clear and concise manner.
- Assisting with the preparation of technical reports, including preparing tabulated data and figures, using good time management.
- Assisting with the preparation of Phase I ESA Reports with exceptional attention to detail.
- Completing quality control reviews on all work products (reports, calculations, data, etc.) before submission.
- Coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, laboratories, and regulators.
- Preparing permit applications and regulatory agency submittals and responses with supporting documentation.
- Preparing short-form site specific health and safety plans.
- Completing field and office assignments in a quality and safe manner.
- Pursuing technical improvement for self and company.
- Bachelor of Science degree in geology, engineering, or related field required.
- Minimum of 3 months of relevant environmental internship, work and/research experience required.
- Microsoft Office software knowledge and fluency required.
- Experience with environmental monitoring and GPS field equipment preferred.
- Completion of 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training preferred, or willingness to complete this training upon employment.
- Ability to perform fieldwork including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods of time required.
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with a driving record in good standing required.
