Job Title: Material Handler
Department: Inventory
Accountability: This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor
Responsibilities:
•Enter data into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets accurately
•Perform basic cycle counts of parts and locations; resolves any variances as necessary
•Ensure that all usable parts are properly identified
•Deliver product parts and finished goods safely and accurately to the warehouse
•Transfer product parts and finished goods to designated picking and bulk warehouse locations
•Maintain inventory stocking levels in the product parts and finished good picking locations
•Enter and maintain inventory related data in the ERP and Shop Floor Control software
•Maintain proper housekeeping of the warehouse zones in the 75 and 55 Jacksonville facilities
•Pick components/finished goods using work order/sales order data
•Stage picked items for packing/assembly
•Select and pack finished goods as noted on the sales order
•Inform the Supervisor or Team Lead when there are issues with order fulfillment or product shortages
•Follow all department and safety procedures of the facility and warehouse zones
Requirements:
•High School Diploma or GED, Technical certification, a plus
•1+ years’ experience in a warehouse environment
•ERP experience, preferred
•Basic knowledge of data entry in Microsoft Word and Excel
•Communicate effectively and respectfully to all team members
•Must be able to work at heights of up to 20 feet
•Ability to perform basic mathematical computations and apply them to daily activities
•Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English
•Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
•Must possess a strong attention to detail
•Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, sit, and ladder-climb for more than 1 hour at a time
•Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
•Ability to push-pull a maximum of 1200 lbs. with a manual rolling assist
•Visual requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus
•General knowledge of workplace safety, a plus
