Summary
The Senior Data Quality Analyst plays a crucial role marked by agility and intensity within Cedar Gate Technologies’ Data Quality Team. In this role, you’ll lead quality assurance initiatives across the data lifecycle, designing and refining testing processes, identifying root causes of issues, and championing best practices that raise the bar for data integrity enterprise-wide.

Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Develop, implement, and enforce robust data quality standards, policies, and procedures, utilizing industry best practices to guarantee that data for critical business decisions is accurate, consistent, timely, and trustworthy.
  • Actively champion data governance best practices by collaborating cross-functionally to identify, prioritize, and drive data governance initiatives, and report progress and risks promptly to stakeholders.
  • Fostering a data-aware culture by designing and delivering targeted training to cross-functional teams that ensure understanding of data quality ratings and strategies for enhancing performance against those measures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data quality issues by performing root cause analysis, ensuring clear ownership, accountability, corrective actions, and continuous improvement in data management processes
  • Thoroughly review and analyze business, software, and data requirements to proactively identify potential data quality risks and gaps.
  • Assist Data QA Management in establishing strategic data QA priorities, guiding, and prioritizing data quality assurance tasks, to ensure all deliverables meet scope, requirements, and deadlines.
  • Develop comprehensive, risk-based Data QA Test Plans
  • Design, prepare, and execute advanced data validation test cases/scripts
  • Lead initiatives to implement QA best practices across the data team
  • Create, monitor, and report on key data quality metrics (KQIs/KPIs),
  • Lead data QA projects and coordinate data QA deliverables

 

Job Location 

Hybrid Remote: Enjoy the flexibility of working from home and collaborating three days a week at our office in Burlington, Massachusetts

Required Experience / Qualifications

  • At least three years of US healthcare claims data quality analysis
  • More than 5 years (prefer more than 8 years) of professional work experience in the US healthcare provider domain
  • Significant experience working with big data in an enterprise data warehouse environment
  • Experience identifying and implementing data processing best practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English 
  • A meticulous mindset and a passion for delivering high-quality data solutions.
  • JetStore, File Mapping, and Scrub engines experience  
  • Experience mentoring and training others
  • Initiative-taking and able to manage multiple tasks effectively in a challenging environment
  • Experience with JIRA, AWS, Redshift, Snowflake, and SQL for QA data analysis/reporting
  • Currently eligible to work in the U.S. without any assistance in getting a U.S. employment visa or U.S. work authorization.

 

Preferences – Not Required 

  • Experience working directly with clients, providing services, and representing the company
  • Knowledge of HEDIS, HCC, and other programs
  • Previous experience managing data teams or evidence of advancing leadership roles
