About the Department

This part-time position supports the Children’s Services Division by measuring, assessing, analyzing, and reporting on program performance using both qualitative and quantitative data. The specialist plays a key role in ensuring that funded programs are making meaningful, measurable progress and that the data submitted for reimbursement reflects valid and documented outcomes. This position also contributes to the development of the comprehensive Children’s Services Needs Assessment, which informs strategic planning and funding priorities. Additionally, the specialist prepares and shares reports, success stories, and visual summaries to enhance transparency, highlight impact, and promote public engagement via presentations, reports, and social media platforms.

Position Duties

  • Collect, compile, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data from CSAC-funded agencies.
  • Monitor outcome metrics and assist in tracking program performance.
  • Support the development of quarterly, midyear, and annual impact reports.
  • Evaluate supporting evidence to ensure the validity of agency reporting and reimbursement claims.
  • Assist in developing and updating the comprehensive Children’s Services Needs Assessment.
  • Identify trends, gaps, and high-impact areas to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Perform considerable short-term and long-term planning, scheduling, and coordinating within the area of responsibility.
  • Provide guidance and support to agencies by using data insights to strengthen program quality and outcomes.
  • Create visual and narrative reports and presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Share impact stories and success highlights through reports and social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with team members to align data analysis with strategic goals and communication efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Experience:

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university OR a Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in programs serving children and families, including areas such as program evaluation, data analysis, grant compliance, or performance measurement.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:


  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation using Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools.
  • Ability to ensure accuracy and reliability in program reporting and documentation.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to synthesize complex datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of outcome measurement, performance evaluation, and impact reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with children’s services, education, or nonprofit programming preferred.
  • Experience with storytelling through data, including visuals, charts, and summaries.
