Platform Services Manager| Location:11149 Research Blvd, Austin, Tx 78759|Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:30am-4:00pm| Department: Information Technology | Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt 


Austin Telco is seeking a Platform Services Manager to lead the delivery, optimization, and governance of enterprise platforms. This role is responsible for managing virtual machines, operating systems, productivity and collaboration tools, identity services, and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). The ideal candidate will ensure platforms are secure, compliant, and aligned with business needs. 

 

What you'll do:

  • Manage full server lifecycle: deployment, patching, monitoring, and decommissioning.
  • Oversee Microsoft 365 suite including Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange Online.
  • Administer identity and access management (IAM) services: Entra ID, SSO, MFA, conditional access.
  • Lead VDI platform operations (Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, Horizon).
  • Govern SaaS licensing, compliance, and adoption metrics.
  • Support integrations, APIs, and workflow automation (Power Automate, middleware).
  • Collaborate with Technology Services for compute, storage, and networking resources.
  • Align platform security with regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Partner with business units for application upgrades and integrations.
  • Supervise and mentor Platform Services team members.
  • Deliver initiatives on time, within scope, and drive platform adoption.
  • Direct supervision of Platform Services team.
  • Responsible for training, assigning work, mentoring, and resolving issues.

What you bring:   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in enterprise platform or service delivery.
  • 10+ years of experience in server and network administration.
  • Advanced technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, Citrix, CompTIA).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and SaaS governance.
  • Expertise in Windows/Linux server administration, patching, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with IAM platforms and policies (SSO, MFA, RBAC).
  • Familiarity with VDI technologies and user experience optimization.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
