About the Role

Sydney Local Health District is one of the fastest growing Local Health Districts in New South Wales. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring. 

  

The Operations Manager for Cardiac Services and Medical Stream reports to the Clinical Manager and collaborates closely with both the Stream Clinical Director and the Executive Director of Operations to support facility executives in meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) outlined in their service agreements. This role will concentrate on the development, implementation, and evaluation of models of care and strategic direction of cardiac and medical services across Sydney Local Health District, as well as on quality, safety and risk management. The Operations Manager will assist with the coordination of projects and reviews aimed at improving strategic planning, performance, effectiveness and quality of services and functions within the Cardiac and Medical Stream across Sydney Local Health District.

Ideal Candidate

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in Health Service Management. 
  • Experience with the development and implementation of business, strategic and operational plans and a comprehensive understanding of clinical governance. 
  • Extensive project management experience, including the proven capacity to concurrently manage multiple projects and to prioritise work to ensure the achievement of project outcomes on time. 
  • Highly developed written (i.e. briefs, policy and business plans), verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including a demonstrated capacity to liaise and negotiate with a wide range of multidisciplinary teams and sound decision-making, negotiation, organisational and analytical skills.
