GLOBAL MEDIA ASSISTANT

Who You Are:

The Global Media Assistant is responsible for supporting the Michael Kors Media team in the day-to-day execution and management of global media activity across print, digital, outdoor, and emerging channels. This role partners cross-functionally with creative services, retail, licensing, finance, and local marketing teams worldwide to ensure seamless campaign delivery, accurate budget management, and alignment of brand messaging across markets. Attention to detail, organizational skills, teamwork, and strong communication are critical to success in this position.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support development of global and licensing cross-channel media plans, ensuring consistency across markets.
  • Assist in RFP reviews, partner communication, and campaign recommendations.
  • Manage day-to-day workflows including briefing campaigns with the creative team, tracking creative feedback, and ensuring timely asset delivery to vendors.
  • Collect proof-of-placement (POPs) across digital, OOH, and print campaigns.
  • Maintain and update media trackers, seasonal decks, print solutions system, and planning tools.
  • Lead weekly digital reporting and support competitive reporting projects, including monitoring print positioning, logging placements globally, and negotiating makegoods if needed.
  • Lead research initiatives, including competitive analysis, and stay on the pulse of emerging media trends and new partnership opportunities to elevate our media strategy—leveraging insights from agencies and media partners.
  • Track and record campaign activity, contributing to departmental recaps, seasonal summaries, and company-wide advertising highlights.
  • Process and track departmental invoices, ensuring timely approvals and proper reconciliation.
  • Assist the Media Planner at fiscal year-end to confirm all invoices are accounted for and final budgets are accurate.
  • Lead budget tracking for LRA programs and other campaigns.
  • Schedule and coordinate internal and external media meetings; manage logistics including space booking.
  • Lead or support key team meetings, take notes, and distribute recaps.
  • Maintain media partner and international team contact lists.

You’ll Need to Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 1–2 years of relevant internship or professional experience; fashion and/or retail experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook); Wrike, Smartsheet, or similar project management tools is a plus
  • Ability to work in NYC or NJ office 4 days a week.

Compensation Range:
