JOB TITLE: Sheet Line Utility
DEPARTMENT: Sheet Line
REPORTS TO: Value Stream Manager, Sheet Line
POSITION SUMMARY: The Utility Worker supports various functions across the production floor to ensure smooth operations. This role involves assisting with equipment setup, material handling, cleaning, and basic maintenance tasks. Ideal candidates are adaptable, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
JOB SPECIFIC TASKS:
Qualified at packaging, milling, mixing and extruder jobs to fill in when needed
• Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work area
• Transport nonconformance roll/sheets using pallet jacks
• Assist extruder operator at changeovers
• Inspect products for quality and report defects or inconsistencies
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols
• Support with training new operators
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team meetings
• Complete AM task if needed
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Must be able to differentiate quality issues on material and perform all duties of the department.
EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new tasks
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Communicate with co-workers throughout the shift as needed.
