Job Description:This role is 100% on-site and does not allow for remote working.
We are seeking an EUC Refresh Engineer to support a large-scale laptop refresh project within a complex and busy healthcare environment. The primary objective of this role is to ensure a smooth and seamless migration of end users from their existing laptop hardware to new devices. This will be delivered through scheduled Laptop Clinics run on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-staging: Configure and prepare new laptop devices ahead of deployment.
End User Support: Deliver 1:2:1 support sessions during scheduled clinic appointments, guiding end users through the setup of their new device and ensuring a smooth transition of critical applications.
User Experience: Ensure users are fully operational on their new laptops within 30 minutes of their appointment start time.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Project Manager to coordinate clinic flow and manage end-user arrivals.
Asset Management: Complete governance tasks to accurately update the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) for effective asset tracking.
Disposal: Manage the secure and compliant disposal of old laptop assets in line with customer requirements.
Previous experience in EUC (End User Computing) support, IT refresh, or device deployment projects.
Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to provide patient and clear 1:2:1 support.
Ability to work efficiently in a structured, time-sensitive clinic environment.
Familiarity with asset management and governance processes.
Must hold BPSS clearance (no higher clearance, such as SC, is required).
Flexibility to work on-site full-time with potential overtime as required.
