Position Summary:

The Front Desk/Operator serves as the first point of contact for patients and referring providers. This role involves handling all incoming phone calls, managing patient check-in and check-out processes, and accurately collecting and entering patient data. The Front Desk/Operator is also responsible for scheduling and rescheduling appointments, verifying patient information, and providing location guidance to callers.


Key Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Answer incoming calls promptly and assist callers in a courteous and professional manner.

2. Schedule and reschedule patient appointments using the ECW scheduling system.

3. Provide directions to the facility and notify the front desk of any patients running late.

4. Check patients in and out efficiently and accurately.

5. Collect and enter patient information into the system with attention to detail.

6. Offer a friendly and supportive experience to all patients and visitors.


Minimum Qualifications:

· Excellent attention to detail.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Knowledge of medical office procedures is highly preferred.

· Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in scheduling preferred.

· Prior experience in customer service role.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Standing, Walking, Bending, or Reaching: Approximately 25% of the time

· Sitting: Approximately 75% of the time
