Position Title: Machine Operator

Position Type: Full Time 

Reports To: Machine Shop Lead 

Description:

The Machine Operator at Holley Performance Brands is responsible for operating and monitoring CNC machines while ensuring they are properly loaded and run following set-up procedures. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to quality and safety. The machine operator will collaborate with team members to meet production targets, troubleshoot minor machine issues, and ensure products are accurately moved to the next step in the production process.

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
  • Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
  • Feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines
  • Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
  • Test operation of machines periodically
  • Fix issues that might occur during the shift
  • Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
  • Maintain activity logs
  • Inspect finished products for quality and specification compliance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace for safety and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

  • Proven experience as a machine operator
  •  Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
  • Understanding of production procedures
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
  • Analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
  • Physical stamina and strength.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus.
  • Previous manufacturing, machine operations, basic troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and follow technical documents and assembly instructions.
  • Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and inventory tracking.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and basic production fundamentals. 
  • Experience CNC machines, Verticals, Horizontals, Manuals, and Lathes machine operations and basic set up skills.  


Key Skills:
  • Manual dexterity and proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lift and handle materials safely.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM (Varies on operational needs/demands) 40 Hours Per Week
