The Position: Planning Supervisor / Warehouse Leader
The Planning Supervisor / Warehouse Leader is responsible for ensuring cost-effective, on-time availability of product across a complex supply network of owned manufacturing sites, third-party toll manufacturers, warehouses, and trans-loading facilities. The role balances demand and supply to achieve working capital targets, while overseeing packaging and shipment of polymer products, managing on-site logistics contractors, ensuring SHE compliance in logistics areas, and handling warehouse complaints, specifically for the Bayport ASA Warehouse.

 

What you will do:

  • Manage production planning, scheduling, and inventory activities to ensure on-time product availability across North America.
  • Maintain targeted inventory levels and manage costs across company warehouses, tolling partners, and third-party facilities.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, including performance of 3PL providers, contractors, railcar flows, SHE compliance, and cost management.
  • Provide direction and reporting to commercial, customer service, raw material planning, and logistics teams to align supply with demand.
  • Lead and support staff development, provide training, and participate in project work including systems testing.
  • Represent the logistics function in audits, contract negotiations, and external partnerships while driving continuous improvement.

 

What you will bring:

Level of education & knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field (required).
  • MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Prior experience in logistics infrastructure management and shipping/inventory processes.

Experience in general:

  • Strong background in inventory management.
  • Extensive production scheduling expertise.
  • Knowledge of full supply chain processes from production to delivery.

Technical skills:

  • Strong computer skills in Excel and MS Office applications.
  • SAP proficiency (required).
  • CPIM – APICS certification beneficial.
  • Contractor management and negotiation skills.
  • Root cause analysis and problem-solving abilities.
  • Financial acumen, including cost control understanding.

  • Ability to work across warehouse and logistics operations, including equipment oversight and railcar movement.
  • Represent the logistics area during audits and inspections.
