- Operational support: Serve as a mobile resource to fill critical gaps caused by staff vacancies or absences, ensuring university operations remain uninterrupted.
- Logistics and delivery: Coordinate and deliver equipment, materials, and supplies to technicians and buildings across campus.
- Groundskeeping and maintenance: Perform general campus upkeep, including operating powered equipment to blow off breezeways and sidewalks.
- Physical labor: Perform tasks that require walking up and down stairs and carrying supplies and equipment.
- Emergency response: Assist with time-sensitive operational tasks as needed to support various departments.
- Driver's license: A valid driver's license is required.
- Physical abilities: Must be able to lift and carry up to 65 lbs., walk up multiple flights of stairs, and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
- Equipment operation: Proven ability to safely operate battery-powered and gas-powered equipment.
- Adaptability: Ability to manage and prioritize a dynamic set of responsibilities and work assignments.
- Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with colleagues across all operational departments.
