Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

 

SUMMARY

The FP&A Director will play a key leadership role in supporting CVP’s continued growth by enhancing financial reporting, scaling analytical capabilities, and driving process improvement across the Finance organization. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this leader will own the budgeting, forecasting, and reporting strategy while leading and developing a high-performing FP&A team. The ideal candidate brings deep experience using data to drive actionable business insights and a strong command of financial statement forecasting to inform capital allocation and management decisions. As CVP expands beyond 150 hospitals, the FP&A Director will help shape the company’s financial strategy and ensure scalable financial processes and tools to support sustainable growth.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the evolution of CVP’s financial reporting and analytics platforms
  • Develop an integrated financial statement model connecting the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow to support scenario analysis and management decisions.
  • Oversee the development of short- and long-term forecasts, annual operating plans, and business reviews.
  • Analyze hospital-level and regional profitability trends, identifying key drivers and recommending strategies to maximize growth and margin performance.
  • Partner with executive leadership to evaluate strategic initiatives, including M&A opportunities, capital investments, and operational performance improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to review key performance indicators (KPIs), assess financial implications, and align business objectives with financial outcomes.

 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads and develops a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of analytical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record in FP&A or related fields in a multi-unit business environment.     Required experience includes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration required
  • 8+ years of progressive Finance or FP&A experience in a multi-unit or healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading financial planning and reporting processes for a complex organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems such as Adaptive, Hyperion, or comparable tools; experience with Power BI or similar visualization platforms strongly preferred.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Proficiency in Adaptive, Power BI, or similar products
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, with a strong knowledge of pivot tables required.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite of products (Teams, OneDrive, Sharepoint, Word, Powerpoint) required.

 

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

The role is hybrid with periodic visits to the support center home office in Philadelphia, PA (average one week per month) to facilitate in-person learning with the Finance team and exposure to broader leadership team.
