POSITION SUMMARY
The Application Specialist II is an IT position. You must work with internal and vendor applications. This position will be interacting with internal customers and becoming a subject matter expert on a few applications. Must learn the internal and external interfaces to these applications. You should be able to do some programming when needed.
 
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Works with supervision and collaborates with IT Team to achieve the following: 
  • Ability to query data and link tables together logically 
  • Writes code following specifications  
  • Builds test plans to test code 
  • Ability to follow the change control process to migrate code from Test to Production 
  • Operationalizes new processes 
  • Documents and edits processes and instructions 
  • Starts to build Subject Matter areas of expertise 
  • Starts taking on Production Support tasks 
  • Able to automate or solve manual processes 
  • Supports applications according to SLA’s 
  • Required to report progress on tasks or tickets to supervisor or manager.
  • Follows the banks project flow process from build, to test, and through implementation
  • Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of the position
  • Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements
 
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs all other duties as assigned.
 
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
  • Two (2) -five (5) years in an Application Specialist position or programming field    
  • Understanding of integrations  
  • Able to create design specifications 
  • Ability to follow install guides and vendor documentation
  • Ability to document processes and build visual diagrams of process or data flows
  • Ability to work with moderate supervision 
  • Ability to work with vendor and System Engineer to work with Server class upgrades 
EDUCATION
Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science field). 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Minimal or occasional travel for meetings, projects or training as needed.
