About the Role:

As a Therapist within the Health Care Services industry, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals and families through various mental health challenges, including addiction and life transitions. Your primary objective will be to provide compassionate, evidence-based therapeutic interventions that promote recovery, emotional well-being, and resilience. You will work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs, fostering a safe and supportive environment for healing. This role requires a deep understanding of psychological principles and therapeutic techniques to effectively manage crises, facilitate group and family therapy sessions, and guide clients through anger management and other behavioral challenges. Ultimately, your work will contribute to improving clients' quality of life and helping them achieve sustainable mental health and recovery goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
  • Working towards, eligible for, or active valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in addiction treatment and recovery counseling.
  • Proficiency in conducting individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
  • Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and mental health counseling best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in specialized therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Experience working with diverse populations and multicultural competence.
  • Demonstrated experience in addiction treatment and recovery counseling.
  • Training in anger management and life transition counseling.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms.
  • Additional credentials in trauma-informed care or substance abuse counseling.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' mental health and addiction treatment needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating counseling psychology and psychotherapy techniques.
  • Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions to support addiction recovery and mental health improvement.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support clients through acute emotional or behavioral episodes.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust therapeutic approaches as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals and social workers, to coordinate holistic care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, coping strategies, and available resources.
  • Support clients in managing anger, navigating life transitions, and developing healthy coping mechanisms.
